Staying true to our core values Azamara has a year planned of exploring new destinations and giving our guests the time to experience the ports at day and night.

With the acquisition of the fourth ship Azamara Onward, sailing from May 2022 in Europe, this will allow us a broader reach across the globe with new maiden ports in Norway, Turkey, Sweden, Iceland and Finland for example. This ship is undertaking a revitalisation now and will be an identical sister ship to Azamara Quest, Journey and Pursuit.

Azamara guest surveys reveal guests sailing in Europe have appreciated the care taken in creating new health and safety protocols, which include pre-testing at Azamara’s expense.

They also do not feel that the way we have implemented these changes has impacted their cruise experience. Once onboard, guests are now escorted where they view a short video to fulfil muster drill requirements and then they are escorted to their staterooms.

One change through until June 2022 is the production of our beloved AzAmazing Evenings to an onboard Destination Celebrations. We want our guests to experience the culture of the destination whilst adhering to each government’s current restrictions on large group functions on land. The Destination Celebration includes food, beverages and gifts. Guests enjoy entertainment provided by musicians and performers for the local region.

We look forward to welcoming our loyal Australian and New Zealand guests back onboard soon.
