ARANUI CRUISES

For more than 30 years, Aranui Cruises has been offering discerning travellers the adventure of a lifetime across
the South Pacific.

A mixed freight and passenger vessel, Aranui 5 offers one of the few remaining cargo cruise experiences in the world. During the ship’s regular 13-day roundtrip voyage from Papeete to the Marquesas Islands via Rangiroa, Fakarava and Bora Bora, the crew delivers supplies to remote island communities while guests disembark to explore complimentary shore excursions.

Discover French Polynesia, the Aranui way

With local crew, cuisine and culture, Aranui is the most authentic way to discover French Polynesia. Most Aranui crew are locals, which means guests are immersed in the culture from the moment they board and during calls to the far-flung Marquesas, guests experience the real Polynesia at ancient marae sites, village feasts and tribal performances. Meals, activities and shore excursions are included in the price.

Find a new paradise in the Pacific

From 2021, Aranui will be cruising to every corner of French Polynesia and beyond. In a series of new discovery voyages, Aranui will help put the little-known Australs on the map, take guests off the beaten track to Tuamotu atolls in the middle of nowhere and take more holidaymakers to the islands at the edge of the world – Pitcairn.

Aranui – the Marquesas Islands experts

Known as the land of men, the Marquesas are the northernmost of French Polynesia’s five archipelagoes, lying nearly 5000km from the nearest continental land mass. As remote as they are, these islands have long been luring explorers, artists and authors to their volcanic shores. During Aranui’s regular 13-day roundtrip cruise from Papeete, guests follow in the footsteps of artist Paul Gauguin and writer Robert Louis Stevenson during visits to the six inhabited Marquesas Islands – Hiva Oa, Nuka Hiva, Ua Pou, Ua Huka, Tahuata, and Fatu Hiva.
